CHEF DARIAN DAVIS' KITCHEN DO'S & DON'TS
DO'S!
1 - Always wash hands before preparing food, touching food or eating food. Use soap and hot water
2 - Plan your meals ahead of time, make sure you have all the ingredients before you begin. I write down all the ingredients I will need before I start preparing my meal.
3 - Make a list of all your favorite fruits and vegetables. Promise yourself you will try a new fruit or vegetable every week. Ask whomever does the grocery shopping in the house to pick up some of your favorite fruits and vegetables. Or even better, ask can you come along and pick out some of your favorite fruits and vegetables. Don't be boring! Try something you never had before... never know if you are going to like something until you try it.
4 - Learn about spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, garlic powder, celery, chives, parsley and mustard seeds. Add some cinnamon, nutmeg and bananas to your vanilla ice cream add a banana and dive into a wonderful world of flavor.
5 - Check your kitchen cabinets, shelves or pantry and I bet you will find the spices above plus many more. Take them out and smell them, sprinkle a little on your finger and give them a try. Be brave, food can be so much fun.
6 - Try to have or add something green to your plate at every meal. You don't have to eat a whole salad. Try chopping up a cucumber, or if you just like the lettuce or tomato, just have that and add your favorite dressing. That counts as something green which equals healthy.
7 - Ask someone to cut up your favorite foods like chicken, turkey, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, lettuce, cheese, carrots etc...and you will always have something convenient to eat. Not to mention, it makes for a quick healthy meal in minutes.
Don't worry I'm going to show you how and so much more!
DON'TS!
1 - Don't eat the same boring meals over and over. Change that sandwich up and add sliced apple to your turkey and cheese. Green apples are my favorite sliced thin and added to my smoked turkey and Swiss cheese melts. OMG delicious! I'm going to teach you all about the different kinds of meats. There are smoked, honey baked, low salt, and no salt. I am going to teach you so much AND have your taste buds going crazy.
2 - Don't be afraid to prepare the family meal. You can do it! Trust me just watch some of my videos. Start out with a simple taco night, that's my family's favorite. We have taco night once a week. I change it up by using wraps instead of taco shells.
3 - Don't be afraid to bring your homemade lunch to school. I do sometimes and it's always delicious, because I made it.
CHEF DARIAN DAVIS
DARIAN DAVIS came into this world in front of the cameras. At 16 days old he was on the set with his, plus model/actress, mom Lisa Scott doing a photo shoot for MODE magazine. He's 12 year old, a student and basketball/football league player. DARIAN is the eldest of three boys. His brothers names are Dash and Dallas. (Fun fact) Darian and his brothers all carry a unique bond of having their mothers maiden name, which is SCOTT,as their middle names.
DARIAN started his career working on the movie AMERICAN GANGSTER at the age of seven as an extra along with his brother Dallas.
Chef Darian found this to be so much fun that he forgot he was working and decided from that experience he would be in entertainment. DARIAN'S passion for cooking started as a dare from his mom. Out of his mom's frustration with getting his four year old brother to eat fruits and vegetables, his mom challenged him to create a meal that his brother would eat that included fruits and or vegetables. DARIAN immediately went to work creating healthy fun meals served with a dash of humor and a dose of love. One meal turned to two than three and the rest is history. Hence, the creation of Chef Darian Davis. He found his passion creating kid cool meals that were fresh and healthy. Also, fun to prepare! The added bonus was his younger brother could help in the kitchen without getting hurt. Chef Darian created fresh fruit faces with yogurt, crazy banana day and many more that you will come to know and enjoy.
DARIAN decided he wanted to create a show of his own. The show is a way for him to share his recipes, tips and most of all, have fun making his recipes with other kids. Every recipe is a twist on something you may have seen before and some recipes are original CHEF DARIAN DAVIS creations.
Know that CHEF DARIAN DAVIS only uses the finest ingredients, all of which are easy to find at your local grocery store. They are not only kid friendly (every recipe is tested out on my four year old brother Dallas), but they are kid friendly and most importantly SAFE. No oven or stove required. All you need is to be hungry and ready to have lots of fun and laughs.

RECIPE BOOK COMING SOON!
BABY BANANA PUDDING
There is nothing better than a homemade meal. I tasted my baby brother Dash's baby food and it tasted better than pudding. So, I came up with baby banana pudding made with banana baby food (trust me its great) and arrow root animal cookies. I use arrow root animal cookies because of no presevatives or food coloring, and are absolutely delicious. You will need 10 large jars of banana baby food and 1 box of arrow root animal cookies, this can be found in the baby aisle of any grocery store. Add approximately 3 large sliced bananas and start layering that baby!
UPSIDE DOWN CARROT CAKE
1 store bought carrot cake, my favorite is "Karot Cake" from Trader Joes taste homemade, 1 large carrot, cut tip off to use for a nose and slice two eyes; shred rest of carrot than place on a plate.Take cake out of box, place upside down on shredded carrots, add nose and eyes... And, Enjoy!
